Overview
As AI agents are increasingly used to discover products and make purchases, we've introduced updates to provide full transparency into this autonomous customer segment.
When an order or refund involves an AI agent, the dashboard provides visibility and controls so you can:
- Identify agentic orders and refunds in the dashboard
- Understand which agent was involved and whether it was verified
- Filter, export, and segment agentic activity using Explore and Query Tool
- Use rule conditions that reference agent details and verification status
How Ravelin identifies agentic activity
Ravelin identifies the presence of an AI agent through two primary integration points:
- RavelinJS: Our client-side library detects agent signatures and behaviors when an AI agent lands on your website and AI agent referrals from recognised platforms.
- API: You can also send specific AI agent data directly to us via our API, using agent object in the checkout and refund APIs
Agentic orders
When an order has been facilitated by an AI agent, it is labeled as an Agentic order. This means an AI agent was involved at some point in the purchase journey.
This includes orders where:
- An AI agent signature was detected on your website
- AI agent information was provided through the API
- A recognised AI platform referred the customer to your website
